Teaching Experience at SMP UMP (Sekolah Menengah Pertama Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto)

Before my first day at SMP UMP, I was so nervous and start to overthink things, I guess it is normal for someone who is still adapting to a new environment. But guess what? It is opposite from what I am thinking! The students and staff were incredibly welcoming, and their warmth made me feel like I'm just at their home. I realized that my worries were unnecessary as I began to enjoy the lively atmosphere and genuine interactions. Every day at SMP UMP has become an opportunity to learn, grow, and build meaningful connections, reminding me that stepping out of my comfort zone was the best decision I could have made. FLAG CEREMONY  Before I start my journey in teaching, I attended their Flag Ceremony and started their pledge to the flag.   Just like Dora who explored many locations, I also went to different attractions, events, famous food spots, and hangout places inside Purwokerto, Indonesia. Come and join the ride as I share my experiences in these places!  BATURRADEN Visiting Baturraden was such a great choice for my relaxation. It offers breathtaking scenery that really helps calm my mind. Since I love nature, I truly enjoyed watching the grass sway in the wind—the sound of the rustling leaves was so soothing, and the fresh, cool air made everything feel even more peaceful. The lush greenery and tranquil surroundings created the perfect atmosphere for escaping the stress of daily life. On top of that, Baturraden was also amazing for the Instagram feed, with its beautiful landscapes and picturesque spots perfect for photos. PREPARATION FOR THE BIG DAY  Let me share you a story of how I did during the preparation of my final demonstration teaching!  First things first, I selected a suitable topic for my demo teaching that would allow me to utilize engaging activities while fostering the essential skills needed for learning English. I chose the topic "Adverbs of Frequency" for my lesson.  I created a lesson plan on Adverbs of Frequency and incorporated as many activities as possible.
