Final Demonstration Teaching π§βπ«π
I created a lesson plan on Adverbs of Frequency and incorporated as many activities as possible. Here's my lesson planβfeel free to check it out!
I started the class with a formal greeting in their language and as well as in English. Then, I checked attendance, and fortunately, everyone was present. For classroom management, I prepared a dance and song activity to remind them of our class rules. Here is the video I used.
To keep track of their learning, I asked about our previous discussion, and they remembered the topic well. It is important to regularly remind them of the topic so they do not forget. Additionally, I illustrated the concept to reinforce their understanding of the previous lesson.
To capture their attention and motivate them, I turned the class into a morning talk show, using a teddy bear, Mr. Chip, as the host. I hid flags under their desks to select participants for the show. The students who found the flags were interviewed by Mr. Chip about their routines, providing varied and interesting answers. This activity encouraged them to share their routines and improved their speaking skills.
Before presenting the lesson, I conducted another activity to build engagement. I divided the students into groups and assigned a leader in each group to present their work. Each group received puzzle pieces to assemble into a picture. I asked them about their observations of the completed picture, followed by comprehensive questions related to the lesson. This activity not only entertained the students but also fostered collaboration and critical thinking skills.
I presented the lesson using Canva and included translations to ensure accessibility for all students. I believe fostering inclusivity creates an environment where every student feels valued, respected, and empowered to participate fully in the learning process. The discussion flowed smoothly, and everyone participated, making it a meaningful learning experience for all.
To assess their knowledge, I prepared an activity where students created sentences based on what they rolled on a die. This engaging activity tested their understanding of adverbs of frequency in a fun way.
To further enrich their learning, I conducted an evaluation activity similar to rolling the die. This time, they created sentences using a star intensity as a clue to determine the frequency of an action. Upon checking their work, I was thrilled to see that everyone performed well, demonstrating a solid understanding of the lesson. As their practice teacher, I am beyond grateful to have effectively imparted knowledge to my students.
